The Belinda Bencic of switzerland came back from a set down to overcome Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 3-6 6-1 6-1 at the Kremlin Cup final in Russia.
Bencic procured the last and eighth place in the WTA Finals at Shenzhen, by reaching the final.
Meanwhile, Latvias Jelena Ostapenko won the Luxembourg Open with a 6-4 6-1 victory.
The triumph gave her very first title since September 2017 to French Open winner Ostapenko.
England impressed in their 40-16 win over Australia, but face the evaluation of holders New Zealand to get a spot at the World Cup closing.
